Planning permission for side single storey extension.

I have permission to convert the existing side garage into a habitable room and a first floor side extension (double storey extension). Also on the same planning application i can building another attached garage next to the double storey extension.

The quotes i'm getting from buildings is very expensive and so i have decided only to build a single story side extension and maybe a garage as well depending on cost.

So my question is do i have to re-submit my planning with new drawings or can i go ahead with the single storey as i already have permission for the double?

Best thing is to ask the planning authorities, they are very open to a call. You probably do not need planning permission at all for the single story extension, so my guess is no.

I think you don't need permission because you have it already but you have to start the job within 3 year of the expired date.
