Insulation Question

Condensation on the windows

Hi I have a problem with excessive condensation to the inner side of the bedroom windows. In winter and when it is cold outside water runs off the windows. I have seen other answers and tried most things but we still have a problem. One answer was ventilation via airbricks. however we have had our bricks sealed when the house was insulated - should we unseal then? - any help would be great

Main cause is lack of ventilation and hot air meeting cold outside air against the glazing. Un blocking the air bricks may be the way forward as they were there when your house was built for a reason. If your window has trickle vents open them, or Lock the casements in vent position if you have espag Lock mechanism which is standard on most double glazing. You may have high humidity inside from things like airing washing, plants , showers so de humidifier is another option.
