Replace push-up hatch with drop-down hatch

Hi,

I currently have a push-up hatch and I want to replace this with a drop-down hatch, I have taken the measurements between the joists and the Length 765mm and Width 606mm now the issue I have is finding a standard hatch to fit the opening, I have found the Manthorpe door which is 726mm in length and 562mm width. But this is too small for my opening, can I make the opening smaller? or do I have to get a custom made door to fit?

thanks

You can make opening both smaller and larger or call in a carpenter
