Rebuilding a chimney breast to recreate a working fireplace

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.50 PM

I’m in the process of purchasing a 2 bed Victorian terraced house in north east London. It has a redundant chimney breast in the front lounge. I would like to reinstate a working fireplace in the lounge but the portion of the chimney breast in the bedroom above has been removed. Is it possible to rebuild the chimney breast to recreate a working fireplace?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Yes you can rebuild the chimney breast but making sure there are no obstructions to the exstisting flue and the remaining chimney above the bedroom is complete
