What width for a 1m tall 12m long brick wall, non load bearing?

100mm will be fine but build piers at either end
And every 4 metres

225mm with an expansion joint in the middle of it would be more than enough

Hi.

I agree with d fearon, 225mm wall with expansion joint as its a fairly long wall, without the expansion joint there is a high probability of cracking. Also, a single skin wall (100mm) may be a little weak over this distance and height.

Rick

i would do a 225mm wall but would also put small piers in every 3m to be safe as well as expantion joints with slip ties just for piece of mind and stability
