Tiling

How easy and quick is it to tile a small washroom with just a toilet and basin with mirror tiles?

easy if you know how and should take about 45 mins per m2 but i would not recommend a diy job if you have had no previous tiling experience

Hi
The tiling should take less than a day, it depends on the condition of the walls and existing tiles however. If these need to be removed first there is often damage to the plaster to repair which will mean another day needed

Relativly easy as long as you have the right kit, you'll need a good tile cutter to start, if you have any awkward cuts to make then you will want a tile nibbler and tile file. If the walls are nice and flat then you shouldn't encounter any problems, if they are uneven then you might well find that if you are using larger tiles that they rock when you come to place them on the wall, this will cause you to have uneven joints, smaller tiles would be better for overcoming this.

A square metre of tiling (dependent on tile size) should not take you any longer than an hour to accomplish. You would however have to wait for the adhesive to go off before you grout, generally grouting is done on the following day. Once the grout as gone off, sponge down and then buff up with a dry cloth.
