depth of foundation for sturdy garden wall?

I am wanting a garden wall built of concrete blocks laid flat side on flat, 7 meters long x 7 feet high. what foundation would you recommend? Jules

I would say minimum 750mm deep, 500mm wide.

Hello Jules, 600mm deep if the ground is good, deeper if it is sandy or soft and 150mm either side of the wall, so a 215mm thick wall would be 500mm wide foundation. A 7 foot high wall will need good foundations.
