Flooring Question

Treating plywood wood?

I've laid some 6mm exterior ply wood on top of the floorboards in my bathroom over which i intend to lay a vinyl floor. However I've noticed the plywood is bowed in some areas. I'd left 2-3mm gaps between the boards for expansion. Is there some kind of finish (primer/varnish) that can be applied to exterior plywood to prevent it from expanding/contracting with changes in temperature and moisture?

But is there any treatment for exterior plywood out of curiosity - let say before I screw it down. I understand the glue in exterior plywood is water resistant but the surface itself clearly isn't waterproof. So what kind of treatment is recommended to seal exterior ply wood. Any particular brand recommended?

Hi there, I'm not sure now you have fixed the ply but the best way is to grid it out and screw every 6" this should stop allowing it to expand or move at all. Hope this helps. Plasterplus
