Pitched roof missing underlay

Anonymous user 3 March 2024 - 3.02 PM

Hi, We are looking at buying a 1980's terrace with a pitched roof of interlocking concrete tiles. The home buyers report stated that 'a section of underlay to the front slope is damaged/ missing' and that 'there is slight damp staining evident in the ceiling to rear at the roof eaves which may be indicative of weather penetration'. Is this expensive to fix? Does it even need fixing? Many thanks for your help

Hello Yes I would recommend getting a local roofer to take a look. If the underlay is damaged or a small amount is missing, providing the access is ok and can be done without scaffolding, the work should be fairly cheap to fix and won't need to take of the whole elevation. I hope this helps. Kind regards Matthew Coleman D Coleman decorators and roofers Father and son decorating and roofing company.
