Roofing Question

Lead in flat valley requires replacing - edpm or fibreglass

We have a flat valley between our tiled roof and the semi-detached slate roof. Our property is a flat extension built on the side of the semi-detached house. The semi is 70 - 80 odd years old and the flat extension was built in 1976. The lead in the flat valley requires replacing - it has been repaired over the years but is now in a bad state. We have had one quote to replace it with fibreglass, a 2nd quote to use EDPM and 3rd to use fibreglass. The 3rd roofer did say that possibly EDPM might be a better solution!! The flat valley is approx 8 metres long.
Thank you

I personally would use fibre glass as with Epdm it is good but if any slates slip down they could pierce the rubber

Hi

If it is in lead at the moment why don't you just replace like for like? Sometimes roofers will only talk you into what they can install rather than what's right for the circumstances.
