Carpet Fitting Question

Recarpeting a narrow corridor

I just need to re-carpet a corridor in my flat, approx 10m by 1.5m max.

Carpet shops I've visited say they can only supply 4m wide carpet - so more than half would be wasted.

Are there any other options? (I'm assuming that a seam in a high traffic corridor is a bad idea.)

Hi, personally I guarantee any join in any area for as long as the carpet, if it's done properly, it's strength is as long lasting as the rest of the material.

The cheapest way to do it is get 2 cuts of carpet 5mtr x1.50mtr x 2 and join them with heat seam tape, with no waste at all. option 2 is 4mtr x 10mtr with a lot of waste but you can use the waste in other rooms. waste left will be 2.50mtr x 10mtr. i hope this will answer your query. Thanks
