Flooring Question

Replacement oak floorboards or engineered flooring over existing floorboards?

What's better, actual new oak floor boards laid on joists or the new engineered type wood laid on top of the existing old pine floorboards?

By replacing old floorboards with oak floorboards is creating a new sub floor. It can be very costly but will insure a solid floor for a very long time. If you are just looking to just have a nice looking Oak floor I would go with the engineered floor on a good quality underlay. I would be happy to offer my services so please don't hesitate to ask.
