Anonymous user 3 March 2024 - 3.01 PM

Hi, I want to do loft installation to my house & don't know where to start. Do I have a go at it or do I get a professional to do it for me? What I really need to know is what is the best materials to use & what precautions I will need to take.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

it is a simple job, it basically entails rolling out insulation between the joists in your loft. You want to use either 100mm or ideally 200mm loft roll insulation. Your local diy store, B&Q etc will be able to advise you on the right product to buy and they may have some offers on the materials too. there is some cutting involved and you'll want to use a suitable face mask, gloves and clothing that covers your arms legs etc as the product can cause quite severe itching if gets onto your skin. best of luck.
