Damp Proofing Question

Damp patch on internal wall after stripping off old wallpaper

We have recently stripped off old wallpaper and behind one wall there is a damp patch which is about 50x50cm. There is no other damp in the house that we can find. The patch is next to the radiator but I cannot see any leak and the flooring is not wet. The wall is an internal wall between the kitchen and dining room and the damp patch is at the bottom of the wall. The house is a Victorian terrace. What do I need to do to find the cause of the damp and rectify the problem?

Hi There
Sounds like a small job,but without surveying cannot give an accurate diagnosis
,post the job on my builder and see what response you get,not enough info to give a clear indication of the problem.

Hi there mrs_b_85
Do you have a concrete floor in this room and is the ground floors concrete ? if yes then the membrane or if no membrane was laid at the time either way the concrete floor has broken down. And with the plaster and skirting touching the floor rising damp will rise up the wall please feel free to get in touch with me.
