Carpentry & Joinery Question

Window seat in bay window

Hi, I would love to put a window seat in the bay window of our front bedroom but am unsure how complicated this sort of work is.

The bay currently has a small radiator (which could be removed), and I would like the seat to have internal storage through a top-opening hinge door.

In your opinion, is this sort of work possible for an amateur DIY-er or should it be done by a professional? I have heard that many joiners will shy away from window seats - is this true? Are they that difficult?

Many thanks

Hi Ann,
This very simple work for a good carpenter but maybe a challenge for a DIY-er.
