How do I paint a radiator?

Anonymous user 14 March 2024 - 2.31 PM

I can't remember what type of paint we used on the radiator but guess it wasn't radiator paint! The pain is flaking off right down to the grey metal. If I take off what I can it's going to be really patchy. How do I get a smooth finish?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi there. If you want a good finish. Strip back sand down and dust off and give a primer coat to the rad. Allow to dry and 2 pack fill the flaked areas, sand down dust off and paint!! da darrrrrr!! Hope this helps Regards Andy

It's probably flaking because you used a non drip gloss. You should not use this product on radiators so if you do as above mentioned repaint with a normal u/c and gloss paint hope this helps
