Bathroom Fitting Question
Fitting bath panel
Our bathroom fitter has done a good job however I am a little concerned about how he plans to fit the bath panel. First the panel will need to be raised by about 10mm as he needed to instal bath a little higher to accommodate waste etc (waste positioned in middle of bath) he plans to build a wooden platform for panel to sit on then apply a plastic seal. I think this will look okay - though comments welcome.
My concern is that he is planning to trim the panel ends. This is required because he has run the skirting (skirting is cut floor tile) slightly underneath the bath. Therefore panel needs to be trimmed to allow for wall tiles and for the bottom 10mm cut again for the skirting. He then plans to finish with plastic seal. I would prefer to have the skirting to the panel edge not under. Could someone please advise of the correct way to fit the panel in this situation? Also how difficult would it be to remove skirting tile without damaging wall tile beneath?
i would not say there is any problem with the way he wish's to install this panel.
we always seal the ends and bottom of panel any way.
