Roofing Question

1930 bay...is it worth insulating

Is removing red tiles of a bay, insulating it , and then reputting tiles back on worth it heat saving wise?

I would say yes all the time. It's not as costly as what people think and it pays for itself in the winter time with the extra heat that stays in the building. Also I would imagine you have the old thick black felt which doesn't allow the roof to breathe so with getting the insulation done, the roofer will be putting brand new breathable felt in.

You can insulate but if you do not ventilate the bay correctly then you will end up with condensation problems.
