Windows Question

Pvc front door replacement

Hi

Can you replace a pvc door and keep the existing frame. The current door is very plain i want something more attractive with colour. Would be good to keep the old frame as removing it would cause a lot of damage.
Any replies would be appreciated

Hi James.
Yes it is possible to replace the sash only. You will need to find out the profile make ( sometimes stamped into the plastic ) then measure the rebate sizes. Also measure the existing door sash. Give as much information as possible. You may need new hinges. You could use the same lock and keeps.
Once you have established the profile, phone the makers and order a sash only.
Hope this helps.
Good luck. Paul

Hi James ,
If you use a good company they will not make any mess when installing a new door including frame.
And you will get a complete / full guarantee for your new energy rated door.
