Plumbing Question

1960's header tank cover

can anyone direct me to a company that provides colder water loft tank cover please. sizes 1200mm x 600mm i have looked online until my eyes have crossed.
the previous cover was polystyrene covered with black bin bag like liner!!

a plumber who attend on a different matter advised me that as i had no cover on i need to have a lid that fits?

thank you

Might be better to scrap your existing CWS tank and fit a modern water bylaw compliant one. Not an expensive job to do if you feel confident trying it yourself.

Giving that it is a 1960's tank it maybe galvanised or asbestos so removing it your self is a NO NO. Back then there were no bylaws to have tanks covered so trying to source one will be hard as you are finding out, you can try and contact a manufacturer of CWST's and see if they can point you in the right direction or make you one on a special order.
