Plastering Question

Crack in ceiling

The ceiling in my kitchen has cracked and I have ended up with a massive gap showing the artex. One plasterer has said that the plastering has not been unibonded so it has not stuck to the ceiling. Another one has told it me the plastering has been unibonded, but may have been a bad mix and its not stuck to the artex. The latter is suggesting he boards over the top of it and i won't have this problem in the future, the other is suggesting I scrape the remaining plastering and he will plaster a new ceiling. Any advice?

Hi there
The best thing to do now is to board over and skim, forget about scraping and skimming over its not worth the gamble
