Tiling Question

Bathroom wall tile surface

Is there an alternative to using moisture resistant Gyproc for the tiling of bathroom walls and would this be more cost effective? Many thanks, Helen

You can buy a product called Hardiebacker board which is cement based, very tough and much more water resistant than gyproc, but its more expensive.
