Quantities for a concrete bed

I need to lay a concrete bed ready to lay quarry tiles on.
The are is 8ft x 4ft x 4".
Can anyone tell me the calculation for how much ballast and cement?

You need 0.3 cubic metres of concrete.

Length x Width to find area and then x depth to find volume.

you would need around 6.5 cubic meters

Hi R.Hughes construction is right allowing for a bit extra. I think home and garden maintenance have got their calculations all wrong 6.5M3 I DONT KNOW HOW THEY HAVE WORKED THAT OUT!!!!!
