I recently bought a 1992 bungalow. I have had the walls pumped with insulation and the attic is also newly insulated. There are new windows and doors. For some reason it doesn't hold the heat. Its all solid walls and we have a oil fired cooker which heats the family room and an open fire with back boiler and an oil boiler. The Radiators are piping hot throughout the bungalow but even with that you can find a cold air round your shins and feet as soon as you walk into the bedrooms and hall. As soon as the radiators go off the heat seems to disappear. Would you know what would be causing the heat loss.
suspended floors lose around 10% of the heat by convection
