Plumbing Question

New combi boiler so loud!

We have just had a full central heating system installed in our house. when the boiler fires up it is quite loud then quiets down after a few seconds (but still sounds like a very low drone) when we run any of our hot taps it gets so loud, the best way to describe it as if an airplane is landing in my kitchen! but once we stop running the hot water it goes back down to the quite drone. my husband was outside whilst I ran the hot water upstairs and he said he could hear the noise from outside, like it was coming from where the flue has been put in on the wall. any suggestions onto what this may be or anything we can do would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Best Answer

1 , could be delay ignition combustion casing filling up with gas causing loud noise .do not use get it check by a gas engineer VERY DANGEROUS
2 could be no burner modulation causing heater exchange to boil
3 heater exchanger noise
4 , fan bearing worn
Recommend you get a gas engineer to look at ASAP
Is it new or old boiler and what make and model
Thanks gurdial
