Wells Building & Restoration Ltd.

My name is Joseph Phelps and I am a highly skilled Stonemason and together with my co-Director, Steven Rawlings, we set up Wells Building & Restoration Ltd in 2013 and have been successfully trading in and around Somerset and the South West ever since.

Specifically I would like to draw your attention to the “Restoration” side of our company. I am a highly qualified and experienced Stonemason – I trained with Wells Cathedral Stonemasons and worked with them for over a decade before forming Wells Building & Restoration and personally heading up the Restoration side of the company. My co-Director, Steven Rawlings, heads up the construction and building side of the company.

I have 15 years experience and I trained and worked for Wells Cathedral Stonemasons for 10 years before setting up my own company.

Our skill set is extensive and Wells Building & Restoration have undertaken a large variation of projects working on Cathedrals, Churches, Listed and English Heritage Buildings and New Build.

We specialise in lime and all aspects of masonry including banker masonry, fixer masonry, stone repairs/pinning, stone cleaning, re-pointing, supply of stone, lime wash/shelter coat and we are very experienced in all of the techniques listed.

My team are very knowledgeable when it comes to restoration works and we all take pride in our workmanship and ability to advise the client appropriately and produce a high quality end product for the client.
