About Goose & Gridiron Stonemasonry
I started my Stonemasonry education at York College in 2005. I moved down to Somerset in 2006 to work for the Conservation and Restoration Company St. Blaise. I continued my Banker Masonry training at Bath College, which I completed in 2008. I worked for St. Blaise for 5 years on a variety of projects, along the way I developed a multitude of Conservation and Restoration techniques as well as invaluable on-site experience Setting Out, making full size drawings and templates for large masonry projects. Some of the projects included: Salisbury Cathedral; Waddesdon Manor; St. Marys Church, Portsmouth; Castle Drogo; St. Martin-in-the-fields; St.Gabriels Church, Pimlico; The Guildhall, Chichester and All Saints Church, Maidenhead.
I started Goose & Gridiron in 2012 and was involved in two large newbuild projects, Finzels Reach in Bristol for Linfords, and from late 2011 to mid 2012 on The Orangery, a private residence and new-build Orangery in Warwickshire for Meister Masonry.
I worked for Daedalus Conservation 2012-2013 on St. Giles Church, Barbican and on The Keep, a military museum in Dorchester.
The latter half of 2013 I spent working on a large farm house restoration project near Frome and a Stone Walling job in Chew Magna.
