Marcus was the most realistic of the quoted prices and very clear what he could and couldn't do.
We'd had the house almost fully plastered and skimmed and he was realistic about needing lining paper on the non-skimmed master bedroom wall, which the other tradesman said could be done. We were sceptical and liked Marcus's realism.
We'd had all of the wooden floors in the expensively treated and clear that they needed to be protected.
Marcus was extremely conscientious, covering all off the wooden floors with plastic so not one drop found its way onto our lovely wooden floors, don't ask me how he did it but very impressive.
Marcus attended regularly and the 4 bedrooms, living room, hallway walls of 3 floors and all skirting and door frames were done in no time at all with no stress or inconvenience. Marcus consults throughout.
Half-way through the work we were so impressed we asked him to do the kitchen. It looks great and has given a shabby area in need of upgrade a new lease of life.
The last job was the lining and painting of the master bedroom. Marcus was adding to his repertoire and practicing skimming walls at his own home and asked if he could have a go at the bedroom. I asked how much; he said 'nothing' for practice. What can I say we took him up on it. The skimmed wall in the bedroom is as good quality as the tradesman who did the whole house and they did and excellent job.
Overall we are fantastically happy with Marcus and his work. Hire him.
