Considering the difficulties with the job it was completed very efficiently.
T. J. Plastering were the only company that said the Artex ceiling would require scraping before plastering could commence. I do not think that an acceptable finish would have been achieved without scraping the ceiling.
Terry said that they would arrive at 7.30 and the job would take 4 to 5 hours.
They arrived at 7.30 and left at 12.00 leaving the clean and tidy.

Terry and his lads are extremely friendly and very punctual, they even started the job a week earlier than originally planned.
I needed wood chip tiles removing from all my ceilings upstairs and then replaced and plastered. Their workmanship is excellent and nothing was too much trouble for them. During the job I decided that I wanted coving put up, Terry was happy to do this going out of his way to get the materials and arranging an extra visit to finish this off.

Had Terry come round give me a quote and he was straight and honest in what we needed and very easy to get on with he gave me a quote that day and booked him in. him and his son and another lad turned up on the day nice and early and cracked on with it came up with problem with the paint or what ever was on our walls so PVA wasn't taking to it (our walls not his workmanship) so had to come back another day to finish it off. Certainly when I need my other walls in the future doing he will be my first choice to get back in the end result in bedroom is great would highly recommend to anyone thanks Terry great work

I am extremely happy with the Plastering work done by Terry. I had booked him to skim the artex ceiling of my house. His quote was fairly priced. He is one of the best tradesmen I have ever met! Very polite, professional and punctual. His work is top class!. He always updated me with the work he has done and used to send me pics of the plastered ceilings at the end of each day. He even worked Saturday and Sunday to make sure he completed the work on time. He also did some extra bits like filling up gaps on wall without any hesitation. I would highly recommend Terry and would definitely use him in the future for any Plastering works I intend to do.

An excellent job would certainly recommend use T.J.Plastering again, and intend to. The work was undertaken conscientiously and to a very high standard and at a very reasonable cost. Care was taken to cover all surfaces before works started each day, and when finished everything was left clean and tidy. Terry and his team are trustworthy and there are no qualms with leaving them to carry on while you go about things you have to do.

Professional, polite and punctual from start to finish. I initially requested that Terry start at 8.45, due to me being a lone parent and having to do the school run, 2 young children, rushing around the house early morning, (baths, breakfast etc) so an early start was just not feasible nor possible. 99.9% of plasterers will point blank tell you 'no', and be very dismissive. This isn't to say they don't do a good job, but due to the plaster setting time, they will point blank refuse. It's taken me the best part of a year to find someone to accommodate this.

Terry didn't even hesitate, his exact words were "I can start whatever time you like" - from there I was sold, and didn't bother waiting for any other shortlisters, I shortlisted him straight away and removed the listing. It was a gamble, but it certainly paid off. Terry and his son have done my bedroom to a ridiculously high standard, very, very smooth walls, the corners where the brush strokes usually go you can barely see any brush strokes. They cleaned up after them, polished the skirting boards (more or less). Please don't hesistate to use them, Terry is proper old school and knows his stuff, especially how much water to plaster mix to use, because the room is almost fully dryed out already, and it's only been 48 hrs (if that). I won't use anyone else now. His quotes are spot on, he will never mislead you or overcharge - I had Distemper, which he told me about instantly, and remedied with overboard. Top, top guy.

Terry did a good job for a fair price and I am very happy with the results. Most importantly as I was not living at the house when the work was being carried out, he communicated back to me every step of the way making sure that I was happy with what had been done before moving onto the next stage. Well what can i say about T.J Plastering.
Communication were spot on,
Terry & guys called in for assessment of the works to be done and provided quotation, which i must add very competitive.
The works were booked in for 6 weeks later,
On arrival each day, the team were very well presented in clean tidy uniform along with prompt start time as agreed.
The guys were very polite, Thoughtful (whilst the other half worked from home) easy to approach & discuss the works in detail, extremely well mannered & very professional
We arranged extra section of plastering which was no issues for Terry & Team (tie in to old wall), even supplying additional materials as a result with our supplied materials being faulty.
The works were completed to a very high standard & could not find fault even the tight section around ceiling pipes was faultless.
The areas around pre cut light switches & power sockets were perfect, no hanging plaster to break off after. No mess around newly installed pine door frames & bay window frame & window Seal.
The guys cleaned after each day leaving no mess.

We Highly recommend T.J Plastering and will be hiring the guys again for future works.

I did have a quote from another plasterer who said he would have to make four visits TERRY done it in a day and a half and was competitive with his price, yes you get dust that’s part and parcel of plastering but I would definitely use Terry again and have already asked him to quote for my bathroom..

We have just had our kitchen plastered. What a fantastic job Terry did. So professional and hardworking. Arrived early everyday and worked solidly till it was done. The finish is amazing and the price very reasonable. We highly recommend Terrys work.

Terry has been the fourth plasterer in a couple of years... and we’re going to stick with him for any future work we need doing. Terry gave a very reasonable quote. Came prompt everyday and completed as agreed. Still drying but work looks excellent. Cleared up after and we had little disruption. Definatly would look at using him again.
