About James Bussey Traditional Stonework

I learnt the skills of dry stone walling whilst volunteering with the John Muir Trust and the Dry Stone Walling Association.
I worked as the estate dry stone waller at Dunira, Comrie, Perthshire in Summer 2008.
In 2009 I became self-employed, working in the Perthshire and Stirling area.
I have also done lime mortar repointing and stone surface repair jobs since then.
I have built a wide range of dry stone constructions, such as field wall repairs and rebuilding, garden retaining walls (dry stone being a popular and practical solution), footpath and conservation work including marker cairns and shelter walls. I was in charge of the stonework of two rebuilds of emergency mountain shelters in the Cairngorm National Park - Fords of Avon & Garbh Choire - and shall be involved with another in June 2019 - Davy's Bourach in Glen Doll.
In my quotes and estimates, I write the plurals of nouns without using an apostrophe for that extra touch of professionalism.
