Matt and co worker were very thorough and did a fabulous job.They were professional and took pride in there work and cleaned up after themselves I would definitely hire them again as I was very pleased with the job done as it was done to a very high standards Thankyou Matt

Matt and team completed ground works for our garage to granny annex conversion in Derby . Works included a new water main and sewer connections / pipe work and bricking up the old garage door and laying a new concrete floor with damp proof membrane . All was completed to a high standard and Matt went above and beyond from sourcing new bricks to exactly match the old to fixing unexpected problems with no extra Labour charge . Very impressed with the team’s knowledge and expertise. He worked very well with the building inspector who he happened to know from previous work. The job was done in a reasonable time and bang on budget with no hidden or extra costs . I highly recommend stable ground works and we are already planning to get them back next year to do our driveway. - big thanks to Matt and team

Matt and his lads completed the work and did an absolute fantastic job. Over the moon with what he did. Top notch Contractor, and I couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be using him again in the near future for more works. Tidied up at the end of the day, making sure it was clean and tidy. They all take pride in their work. Matt came round quickly to give us a quote to add some further concrete, to extend a base for a summerhouse ordered. He managed to fit us in within a couple of weeks and the 2 lads who came to do the job, were polite and just got on with it where it was done quickly.

Mat came along to give me a quote, had a chat about the work I needed and made some suggestions. He gave me an approximate timescale, depending on the weather in December etc.
After agreeing the date Mat and the guys completed the job on schedule and I'm extremely happy with the work done. Highly recommended.

I hired Matt to prepare the site to accept a prefabricated garage - to remove a conifer hedge and bushes, dig out and lay stoned sub-base to include extended drive way and concrete pad for the intended garage.
Having contacted Matt a site visit was arranged - we discussed the work that we needed doing and taking onboard suggestions that he made to improve the job and upon receiving his quotation we were happy to employ him.
I found Matt to be very helpful and easy to work with, both he and his team worked very professionally keeping us fully informed throughout the process.
I would be very happy to employ Matt again to carry out any future work that would need doing.

We would definitely recommend having work done by Matt/Stable groundworks. We had a drain lowered and recessed manhole cover put in. Good communication, punctual and professional. We are very happy with the work done and would hire stable groundworks again.

Matt came out to look at the job I posted and he quickly identified the problem and gave me 2 options as to what I could have done.
Once work commenced he and his workers worked tirelessly through hot and wet conditions to do the job.
They were very polite and informed me every step of the way as to what they were doing that day and why they were doing it.

The final outcome.of the work was to a high standard and it was done at a reasonable price.

Matt is a straight talking, easy to work with professional. He explained everything in detail, asked pertinent questions and answered any queries that I had. He gave me full disclosure of everything planned, method of work and went way beyond what I expected, often suggesting ideas that would benefit the job. He always arrived exactly when he said he would, and completed tasks on time, allowing me to organise other work alongside him. He completed groundworks and drainage for me to an excellent standard. His final cost matched his quote, and I would have no hesitation in using his services again.

From the moment I met Mat I knew we were in good hands. Our project had some challenges but Stable Groundworks overcame them without any drama. Mat is a great professional who knows his trade. Mat from Stable Groundwork came and gave me a quote for the extensions on 2 bungalows that I had advertised.
He was very thorough with what was going to happen with the build.
He later sent me the price which was extremely competitive and comprehensive.
During the build Mat and his workmen behaved professional and always made sure they cleaned up afterwards.

Booked Matt, Gareth and his team to do a summer house base and patio extension. This involved extensive work to level out the garden and retain a pre existing wall and fence boundary with sleepers. They took pride in every aspect of the process and completed the job in good time, with Matt talking us through every aspect of the job as he we went along. Whilst also coming up with excellent ideas as things progressed. We kept the lads fuelled on coffee and bacon sandwiches and nothing was ever to much trouble for them. Cracking bunch of lads and we have already asked them to return and lay the new turf when summer house is in.

Absolutely excellent. Matt has been working my back garden over a long period, he fitted in with me and I fitted in with him. I had a sketchy idea of what I wanted and Matt showed me alternatives and together we drew up a fairly long term project, this bit just complete I’d call phase 2. Lots of praise for Matt and his team, he knows his stuff, knows his suppliers and what he says is always the proper way. Groundworks, block walling, levelling, drainage and concrete slabs, all done as promised. I’ll be sure to give him good advance notice of when I’m ready for phase 3.

I hire Matt to lay a slab base for, he turned up on time to discuss my requirements and to take measurements for to estimate the price of the job. Having looked the other estimates l decided to give him the work.
He and his team turned up to do the job on time and they worked hard and were very friendly, he estimated the would take 2.5 days which it did the estimation of materials was spot no waste.
His estimation was a fair price and he left the site clean and tidy also left behind a super finished slab base which l am well pleased with.

!00% recommended for anyone wanting groundworks done. Matt is extremely knowledgeable and carefully thought out all stages of this job, especially when it turned out the drains ran in a totally different direction than we thought they did and there were issues with the levels of the existing pipe runs making things very tight. Matt worked efficiently and tidily, and showed me progress at all stages. One thing I particularly appreciated was the way I was informed all the way through by phone calls about when Matt would arrive at our house, especially when he got delayed another job.

Matthew did a brilliant job on my garden, it was an awkward space and I didn’t want to spend too much Money on this area.
Matthew relaid some slabs for me and filled the rest of the space with gravel, it has made my garden so much better. He came when he said he would, he cleaned up all the mess and left everything tidy. Very pleasant Young man and I would definitely recommend his work. Thanks once again a Matthew.

On discovering sewage seeping into my garden I really didn’t know what to do so attempted to contact suitable companies via my.builder. Mat was one of the first tradesmen to contact me and promptly suggested that the issue should be dealt with by Severn Trent. Without his sound advice I probably would have ended up paying out a fortune to another contractor, particularly as there was another that was very quick to tell me that Severn Trent wouldn’t be able to help, when they obviously could. Thanks Mat for being so honest with me giving me every confidence in considering Stable Groundworks for any future work.

Don't be put off by the state of their vans! They do not give an indication of their standard of work. Although newly formed under the "Stable Groundworks "banner the firm has many years of experience in the building and allied trades. They assess and rectify problems working diligently and leaving no mess . As a relatively new set up they do require payment on completion of work. Well recommended.
