Hi I'm Simon, I run SSEC. I am one of the most qualified operatives In my field, I'm a fully qualified electrical designer, fire detection engineer and gas plumber. There is little I can't do. We are NAPPIT part P, and gas safe registered, fully insured including PI. I specialise in electrical design, inspections, testing and German Dynamic heating. Plus wet system controls

- 4.Gas Engineer
After university I began an electrical apprenticeship whilst working at a large local company, since then I have carried on with more continued professional development than most. Including a second apprenticeship as a plumbing and heating engineer.
I hold additional qualifications, and all importantly am insured and indemnified to complete the following.
Inspection and testing, PAT testing, Solar PV design and installation. Emergency lighting design, installation and servicing. Fire detection design, installation and servicing. I am also an electrical designer, about 2% of my industry achieve that.
Since qualifying I have worked on all manner of job types. Including as the qualified supervisor and duty holder at a large (£2.8M p/a) electrical heating company.
I now run my own business which started in 2008. We are properly insured including PI and Napit registered, always taking care of the paperwork that accompanies your job correctly. Our work carries the NAPPIT insurance backed warranty for compliance.
I have a strong sense of conscience before profit so we only recommend good quality materials and designs that are fit for purpose and installed properly, leaving nothing behind that I wouldn't accept in my own home. Because our specifications are built to last, our quote will seldom be the cheapest. I like to think that our pricing represents the best value in the long run.
We undertake all kinds of installation work, just about anything but petrochemical. I specialise in completing inspectorate work, every building should have a test, the most common interval is 5 years.
We are the experts when it comes to German dynamic radiators, underfloor and other forms of electrical heating with thousands successfully installed. I am also considered an expert with wet system controls.
We offer a full design consultancy service. I see a lot of substandard designs either due to lack of skill or thinned out to win contracts this causes problems later. The design and specification service removes this worry and creates a level playing field for customers to get quotes for the same job from contractors. We complete this for free if we are awarded the contract.
I am also qualified and indemnified to design, commission and service fire detection and emergency lighting systems. Unlike most of our competition we will sign our name on the design certificate and do not insist on an ongoing service contract.
Most of our work comes via recommendation the most common question is when can you squeeze us in?
If its an emergency usually same day, Small jobs within 10 days, everything else 3-6 weeks I'm afraid.
When we don't come by endorsement the most common question is what do we charge? We are very upfront about that.
