South Oxfordshire Plastering Ltd.

I have been a plasterer since 2002. I learned my trade the hard way starting off as a labourer learning all the mixes, sheeting up, loading out, cleaning etc. I take great pride in my workman ship and I am a strong believer in "you are only as good as your last job" hence why I will not cut corners.

About South Oxfordshire Plastering Ltd.

I learned my trade the hard way but I believe the best way, starting off as a labourer learning the mixing, importance of tidy working, preparation, what happens if you don't do this or what causes that etc. since learning my trade I have worked in domestic properties doing re-skims, over skimming artex, boarding and over boarding ceilings etc. I have worked along side builders carrying out all aspects of plastering, float and set, skimming, fixing and plastering arch formers, all the plastering work on extensions to domestic properties.
Over the years I have worked in some very beautiful bespoke homes and have been able to use my experiences, knowlage and skills to suggest ideas to clients that they may never of thought of that I feel would look fantastic for example I was contracted to plaster a large bedroom extention with on suite, the couple were just going to have normal flat ceilings I suggested that they should consider having vaulted ceilings as I have done lots and they look amazing. They liked the idea and went with it. It would of been easy for me to of just turned up and skimmed two flat ceilings and the walls but i wanted it to have that wow factor and wow it had, it looked fantastic and they where both thrilled with the out come and the high standards that I set myself, subsequently I gained further work through doing that job from their friends who where also impressed.
This is common as I have often gain work through word of mouth. I have also worked on development sites plastering small two bed flats and social housing to working in £850,000+ houses in Henley-on-Thames. I have recently worked on a 400year old half thatched cottage where not one wall was straight or was to be,it really was full of character and looked wonderful when it was completed. It had solid oak beams and doors that we had to take time on covering as plaster stains natural oak wood black which will never come out other than sanding loads with an industrial tool, something a DIY plasterer would not know. After completing the internal works I was involved in lime rendering the external walls of the cottage.
The type of services I offer are:-
Alaspects of plastering
Float and set
Plaster boarding
Arch ways
Through colour Rendering i.e. Krend scraped finish

I am a time served plasterer who learned the hard way starting out as a labourer in 2001. I have no fancy qualifications to my name only bags of first hand experience , skill and knowledge.
