I would not hesitate to recommend Barry to anyone who needs any repointing doing. The quality of his work on our job was to very high standard and he always did what he said he would do when he said he would do it. An experience, well organised and courteous professional.

Barry responded to very quickly to our MyBuilder post for some remedial repointing to our house.
During his initial visit to our house, Barry provided clear explanation of what was required and what works he would undertake. Using pictures to confirm areas requiring attention.
Barry provided us with an idea of his current expected availability, but included this was weather dependent.
Barry completed the work as agreed, together with some additional 'nice to include' extra finishing touches, to a very high standard. His experience showing through. All within the agreed quoted price.
Barry treated our house and garden with respect, through what is at times a necessarily 'messy' process.
We would use Barry's services again if and when the opportunity arises in the future.

Barry is a nice friendly guy, who did a very neat and professional job with added value and no fuss. Gives good advice. Wouldn't hesitate to have him back for further work.

Barry turned on the date and time agreed to supply a quote, he explained how the work would be carried out. I accepted the quote to repoint two bungalow walls. I am very pleased with the whole job from start to finish. Barry was punctual to make the estimate appointment, knowledgeable about the alternative approaches to the job and clear about recommendations and costings. Quote was quick and well set out. Mr Barry Davis offered a fair quote for the extensive work required, which I accepted. He attended when he said he would, weather permitting. Once he commenced the works he continued until completion. The work was challenging as it involved working at height, in winter weather and across a property boundary. All works were completed to a good, professional standard in reasonable time leaving a house nearly 70 years old looking as though it had been built last week! Following completion of the contracted works Mr Davis cleared up leaving my premises tidy with all debris removed from site. An inspection of the works was carried out, to my complete and unqualified satisfaction! Throughout the contracted works Mr Davis conveyed a cheerful disposition and offered expert advice and insights when ever required.
I have no hesitation in recommending this contractor and will certainly consider him again in any future relevant works I may require.

Excellent job of repointing a 75 year old brick wall. Looked like new when finished. Very pleased with the finished result.

Our problem was that 2 sections of our barn conversion were badly damaged by sparrows pecking away at the mortar and bricks, to help their digestion apparently - it was bad. We had two quotes through this site, Barry's was the only realistic one but aside from that he came across as such a nice guy, who knew his stuff, that there really was no competition. He lives some way off from us, coming from Worthing to Peachaven, but was always there at or before 8 o'clock. He hardly took a break, preferring to get on with it and leave in good time. Barry was willing to do the job however we wanted it. We could have replaced all the damaged bricks and virtually rebuilt the two corners or mixed and matched with reversing some bricks, mortaring and colouring etc. We took his advice and the result looks brilliant. He's a good craftsman and great to pass the time of day with as well. He cleaned up after every visit and was spot on with timing and cost. He even taught me how to do repair work on our patio and left me with a couple of tools and some materials to start it! Highly recommended.

I can't recommend Barry and South East pointing highly enough. Barry and his brother were exceptional in their work ethic, attention to detail and overall service. At a time during Covid when most people were not working, Barry and his brother arrived on time and within the restrictions of the pandemic. They were so good all my neighbours commented on how fantastic the job was and how lovely they were as tradesmen. They cleared up after themselves every day as well as my neighbour's houses. I have to be honest and say they came in more expensive than other quotes, but so worth the extra. A really premium job and service. I am very happy.

We had the whole house repointed in lime mortar. Barry & Tony were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They always told us what they were doing and planning to do and keeping us informed. They showed us when they found an issue with parts of the walls that needed some reinforcement (heli bars), which meant a small additional cost. Barry gave us the informed choice whether or not to go ahead with it first. They looked after the neighbours, hosing down front gardens and cars, and always kept noise to a minimum. The job was done to a high standard; mess and dust minimised as far as possible then cleaned up each day; competitively priced and completed in good time. Barry did a really great job. he was so professional, quick to replying my messages. He came to have a look then he sent me a proper quote with all details of the job to do. Costs were fair, not expensive. At every phases of the job, he asked my opinion and if I like it. Barry was tidy, he jet washed to get rid of all the dust. The repointing is perfect now. He also did an amazing job inside the living room where I had water infiltration fixing a big crack. He was punctual every morning, worked around my needs literally (he was working in the living room at the same time I was there feeding the baby, no mess no dust). what else to say.. Good communication throughout, on time and worked hard to resolve an issue where my bricks were non standard size so replacements hard to source (although he found an almost perfect match for a 1930’s brick).
