Tim and Helen provided an excellent service. Tim did a very professional job undertaking complete replacement of existing log burner, flue and oak beam.

Tim was very professional, quick to come back to me and completed the installation of my new wood stove and chimney prep quickly and to a great standard. Would recommend.

I was 100% pleased with the work carried out, and it closely matched what had been discussed. I would certainly recommend SMDesign. Particularly for level of customisation available, general competence, and professionalism.

Observations:

1. Product:
High degree of flexibility - Tim was focused on trying to find out, and deliver what was most wanted, and he delivered it well, and on time.

2. Ability
Tim gave the strong impression of competence. To the untrained eye, it seemed clear he was always taking great care, but making progress. He is clearly a very strong generalist, and gives careful consideration to any task.

3. Professionalism
Tim respected the home he was modifying, showed courtesy, and inspired confidence. He left the work site safe, and clear. Remaining materiel that we'd requested be left to us, was stacked in a very neat fashion - though not crucial, this gave the clear impression of taking great pride in the work.

Tim was also furiously hardworking, and tenacious. He's the kind of person you want on your side!!

4. Quality
The work has stood the test of time for three+ years of fairly routine use, and has only ever received positive comment when inspected. I am therefore confident it will last.

5. Business Practice
Tim did not try to overcharge, or bundle unnecessary services. I paid in the region I was expecting, and believe I received good value.
