About SJD Design Factory Ltd

I have designed a number of domestic and recreational projects over the last few years. The ultimate aim for me when designing a project is to give the client something they did not think possible. When dealing with clients I explain the process from start to finish to ensure they fully understand the different stages.

The list of services I can provide are:
Feasibility Study
Design Services
Planning Permission
Building Control Applications
Tender Packages
Construction Drawings
Project Management

A list of projects I have designed are below.

Harkin Dwelling:
The client had a clear vision of the type of dwelling they wanted while also having certain requirements of what they wanted their house to provide. I worked through the brief to design a house that met all of the clients needs while also meeting the strict Local Planning Authority policies.

Doherty Dwelling:
Another rural site which was classed as an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty by the Local Authority. The clients were a young couple who were planning a family in the near future. The design made the most of the local views while internally providing the requirements for modern living and the future family needs.

Cunningham Loft Conversion:
A new loft conversion to provide an additional bedroom and ensuite to a three bedroom terraced house in Harrow, North-West London.

Urris GAA Clubhouse:
A new clubhouse for a local community football club. The design was worked through with the design committee and there were a strict set of regulations that had to met in order for the club to gain funding for the project.

SJD designed a one bedroom with en-suite loft conversion at our 3 bedroom terraced home in Harrow. Shane turned the plans around quickly and liaised with the builder and building inspector as and when necessary so the job ran smoothly and without delay. What set Shane out in a league of his owns is that he designed a relatively small loft space so we now have a big square bedroom going into the dormer with our en suite to the front of the house, in the slope. Every other architect we asked to view the job suggested putting the en-suite to the back in the dormer over the 1st floor bathroom for ease of plumbing etc. which would mean part of the bedroom would be in the slope. Every inch of the loft has been used, as we also have a large storage area in the eaves. I would highly recommend SJD.

Shane completed the design for a clubhouse facility for a local football club. The complex consisted of 4 team changing rooms, kitchen and function area, referee changing, treatment room, storage area public and disabled toilet facilities. The design was completed to a high standard, and the club is extremely happy with the project. Shane took a personal interest in the project and this was reflected in the quality of the design.
