  • Install Stair spindles

Simon took our out of date staircase , installed new spindles and hand rails . He also created new hidden storage cupboards with soft close doors . under the stairs. This opened up our entire home. Work was was undertaken to a high standard and at a very competitive price. Simon worked around all issues encountered providing solutions which enhanced our project in ways we had not considered. Would highly recommend Simon for any of your carpentry needs.

  • Door hanging

I book Simon in for my job but he completely forgot about it. When I spoke to him about him coming he said he lost his book and started getting abusive at me about it and said he was far too busy and slammed the phone down and wouldn’t return my call. Awful person don’t hire him!!!

    Schofield Carpentry's reply:

My apologies Jay. It really wasn’t my intention to upset you, but you booked me for 1 days work 3 months prior to you wanting the work done. I know you weren’t impressed that the price has changed, but the quotation I gave only lasts for 30 days. This was written into the quotation as material and labour costs can change over a long period. I did leave my book on a job somewhere and since then I record everything digitally to avoid the same thing happening again and because yours was a small job, I failed to remember it. My apologies again. Furthermore, if you’d called me a few days before you wanted me to do the work, I would have been able to fit you in. I just wasn’t able to drop the job I was on. It’s just good practice to complete a job before moving onto the next. It would have been a great help if you’d not left it to the night before to contact me. I think we can both share responsibility here. All the best Jay and I hope you found someone to do the job to your satisfaction.
