I chose RPC Architectural Designs for a change of use planning application. I met Ryan at my unit, it was clear from the outset he had a wealth of knowledge and offered some great ideas. Contacted Ryan about getting some structural calculations for steel beams and a foundation check. Despite being on holiday Ryan talked me through the entire process, gave me amazing advice information support and reassurance. Ryan visited the house for an initial survey and listened to what we wanted to achieve.

The next day we received professionally drawn plans, along with specifications for each steel beam with supporting calculations.

As our building work progressed, a range of different issues arrived with the way our house was constructed initially. We sent short quick videos explaining each issue to Ryan. Ryan always reply promptly with advise, solutions and new specifications if required.

Ryan completed the work really quickly.
I am not a structural engineer and so I can't comment upon the validity of his report (it really is a bunch of random numbers to me) but a builder I showed said the calcs were good.
I recommend him.

Ryan / RPC were fast and responsive, with initial drawings/calcs and submissions completed and submitted to BC very efficiently. They assisted with changes and advice as required throughout the project. The end result is great.

We original didn’t think we required structural drawings when we first started our extension. However building control wouldn’t sign off the extension without it. As we had all trades lined up we couldn’t afford any delays. I posted the add on Thursday, Ryan responded the same day. The very next morning Ryan came to inspect. Really nice guy. Very professional and sounded like he knew what he was talking about. After taking a look he gave me 2 recommendations on how we can strengthen our pier. By Saturday morning I had fully drawn plans that I could forward onto building control. If I ever need a structural engineer again. I wouldnt think twice about using Ryan again .

We used RPC to submit plans for a recent HMO project in Salford, within this package Ryan provided the details and calculations necessary for the removal of 2No Chimney breasts and the associated steels. He arrived the following day for the consultation / to take measurements and I had the drawings a couple of days later. His fee included as many changes as I required and liaison for building regs. I made 2 changes and had the new drawings and calcs the same day. Ryan is very professional and personable, nothing is too much trouble. He takes the time to explain everything to you and answers any questions and concerns. As part of the investigation works on our project we uncovered a couple of areas that required Ryan to liaise with our builder to find a solution for us. This was always done promptly and with the client in mind. I would highly recommend Ryan and would be happy to use him again for future projects.

I was really lucky that I had two excellent offers for the work I advertised and no real way of choosing who was best. We are both extremely pleased with the service and commitment Ryan gave to our project. He is very 'on the ball' and keeps you up to date with everything. He is highly knowledgeable and professional. He has built a really good relationship with us and is genuinely passionate about the work he does, which, as a customer, makes a difference, as we were comfortable enough to ask anything we were unsure of.

Ryan also kept up to date with our council planning department, which, we feel, chivied them along. He was very quick to amend any drawings and get them back for us to look at and his drawings are extremely detailed.

Though we didn't get planning permission first time, with some tweaks, we got it the second time around and that's down to Ryan fighting our corner over the distance which hadn't been picked up by our first case officer.

Trying to get planning permission is a lengthy, frustrating process at the best of times, with Ryan as our architect, we couldn't have been in better hands!

We asked RPC Architectural Design Ltd. To draw up plans for a ground floor wet room & utility room.
Ryan met us at our convenience (Which was a Sunday) explained the process to us in great detail which made us feel at ease with everything.
