My business covers all aspects of plastering and was passed down by my dad. I have always been friendly and polite. I have 14 years experience and am clean and tidy. No job is to big or small. I love meeting and interacting with people and am in a lucky position that I love my job very much.
About RLW Plastering
I started as a plasterers labourer when I was 17. I achieved 14 A-C's in my GCSE's but wanted to do something hands on that meant meeting and working with different people. My dads had his business for 30 years so I was very lucky to be able to be taught and learn from some very experienced tradesman, especially in wet plastering and sand and cement work. I worked for my dad for 9 years before deciding to go it alone. I wanted to become better at the business side of the job as well as the practical.
In the last 14 years I've learnt all aspects of plastering including
• dot and dabbing
•sand and cement
Also in this time I've worked on some amazing projects both private and commercial. I've done lots of new build houses for St Nicholas developments and CDC Construction and also done a lot of maintenance repairs and new rooms for companies such as the Holiday inn hotel chains as well as the new gym and spa facilities in the Hyatt hotel Birmingham. I also do work for smaller builders who do a lot of extensions both double and single stories and it's here were I'm most happy as there a lot more of a connection to the customer and to other tradesman. The most important work I do is private small jobs and its with those that I have made my name over the years. I like going from job to job but it's the feeling of appreciation you get from homeowners not to mention the cups of tea that make my job worthwhile and from that where I have made so many friends and learnt the most important thing that no job is to small.
