About G-Mec (Greater Manchester Electrical Contractors)

After leaving school i started at college full time training for my NVQ level 2. After being sure i wanted to pursue a career in the trade i applied for electrical apprenticeships at local firms in the area. Before too long i was stood on site learning the rules and ways of working safety and efficiently on site. My apprenticeship was mainly domestic work, on new build sites and council rewiring. A lot of electricians hate the thought of rewiring as it can be tough and dirty but i am grateful of the time i had to perfect my skills.

Ten years have past and my job has taken me up and down the country working on many different types of electrical installations. My apprenticeship was hard working under a stern and very efficient mentor. I do feel as tho i was made for being an electrician stood at 6'6, I do not struggle to get my work in at a pace and as time is money keep the price down.

I didn't plan on setting out this year working for myself i was working for a great company in Manchester whom had looked after me through the recession, investing in me over others and having myself run jobs for them as a safe site supervisor. It turned out that i was registered part P and my works was picking up with every month that passed. I had a sit down with my boss and he told me i would always have a job with them, if things wasn't to work out. He also would happily sub contract work to my company which he has stayed true to his word. I carried out a extension on a school in Oldham his company over the summer holidays 2015 which was handed over in time and client happy.

All of my work is carried out to the highest standard and i can not cut corners as electrical works desercves the best of which i provide.
