I have 20 years experience in building & restorations with specialist knowledge of Georgian, Victorian & Edwardian English period properties and right up to the present day home builds and customisation. I've redecorated school halls and plenty of hard to access surfaces. I remedy problems with damp by fixing an insufficiently ventilated subfloor of an Edwardian mid-terrace. I have demolished and completely restored 19th century verandah that had suffered neglect and half rotted during restorations of a Georgian town mansion. I've collaborated in complex conversion developments, transforming a former industrial building into a residential home where high-spec amenities are needing repaird to make the rain water fed swimming pool crystal clear with clean and functioning pumps and filters, I install new kitchens, wetrooms and design and source custom made peices like heavy duty security gates proposed by architects and one off huge redwood dining table. My Art & Design training & qualifications bring creativite thinking to practical problems, I can advise on colour have an acute eye for detail and a wide appreciation of home decor styles and influences. I can give advice paints and coatings with all the finishes. Most of my work is domestic but I done projects for clients with business premises such as huge painted mural feature wall Mar Westbrook Kew Gardens. I enjoy volunteer work and recently got involved project in a deprived area of Glasgow with primary school kids helping them build confidence & creative expression. This was an amazing experience that resulted in images and sculptures made children on scales they had never attempted before To show them the power of ideas and the value of creativity, the organisers secured them the top city centre exhibition space to showcase their work and let them speak about the experience to visitors and inspire other children from Scottish schools.
