Quality Installations

My name is David Isherwood. I have 30 years experience within the building trade and 6 years as a mechanical technician. I now specialise in bathrooms where my eye for detail shines through. I also carry out construction of extensions, refurbishment including all trade skills, only having to use a trusted electrician and gas safe heating engineer who are self certificated. You will be happy that you chose me!

About Quality Installations

My first job was on one of those old electric milk floats, I think I must have been 10 or 11 years old in 1973/4. You wouldn't be allowed to do that now would you? I think I had to be up at 4am. I Have had quite a varied life so far. I left school at 16 and started work as a mechanic and eventually went to college in 1984 and qualified with city and guilds as it was known then. I went on to be a dreaded Mot inspector and also worked for Lada, Fiat, Rover, Volkswagen & Audi.
By 1989 I had become bored with it and embarked on my own business as a hard landscape and conservatory builder, having had about three years experience working for a builder in Luton Beds when younger. 28 years later I am still doing the job I love and about 15 years ago put myself through collage again for plumbing, you know you can’t get one when you want one! so that's why! What strikes me after all these years is that I still learn something new every day. I wonder what is in store for me next. I have a lovely son, who's 9 now. I coached football for my local side starting at the local sports hall with under 6's then onto the club football under 7,8 and 9's and have qualified as a FA level 1 football coach. Having a son has been very good for me and thanks to him i am fitter than ever and still play football twice a week. All in all I'm happy with my lot and look back on my life as an adventure and an ongoing one at that. Just to reassure you I am a member of Homepro/Fairtrades 520997 and offer insurance backed guarantees and indemnity for your deposit if you give me one that is!!!!., I also have up to date public liability for 2 million and employee's for 10 million. Thanks for reading, I hope I didn't make you yawn!!.

I qualify myself as very experienced, not much phases me.
I qualified as a motor mechanic and was an Mot Inspector as you have read, you might ask what has that to do with building, well quite a bit, it helps a lot with problem solving as I have found out and is particularly good when working in tight spaces such as bathrooms.
Additionally I have an City & Guilds NVQ 2 for plumbing again explained earlier.
Callum the lad I took on from school has become a qualified bricklayer. He has been with me for nearly 9 years now and is my right hand man.
He instinctively knows what I want and does it automatically. Callum and I work very well together and both have a good sense of humour, he has become a mini me which is quite funny seeing him think and work like me. He does compliment the business and in him I trust to do the right thing and make the right decisions. I use a qualified electrician, gas safe plumber for central heating installations, Structural engineer and Architect when required. I have carried out many 100's of projects and am lucky enough to have a large amount of satisfied customers if you require any further reassurance. If you look at my website you'll get a feel for what we do and on the testimonial page all of the testimonials can be verified. My customers are willing to talk to potential customers to share their experience with you.
