About M.R. Electrical and Handyman Services

I qualified as an electrician in 2009 and have done numerous jobs, from replacing a socket outlet to a complete re-wire of a house. I have also done fault-finding on circuits - which can be time consuming but very rewarding.

In one particular job - upgrading an old fuse board to meet 2008 standards - on doing circuit testing I found a fault on a ring circuit which I informed the client about. They were happy for me to continue after discussing the implications of trying to find the fault and rectify it as well as the cost involved. After approx 2 hours I had narrowed down the fault to between two socket outlets. I had to take up some floor boards (which again I informed the client of beforehand), but I took up as few floor boards as possible to continue with my search. I located a spur of the ring going into the wall and on further investigation/continuity testing I found a single socket outlet behind a wardrobe in the bedroom above, which was damaged and taped up . I informed the client of this and showed them. They wanted it disconnected from the ring circuit to the required standard which I did - and the circuit then passed all the tests. I was able to finish all testing and have the new board up and running before the end of the day.

I recently did a few minor jobs for a charity that had some lights not working, 2 double sockets taped up and 2 surface back boxes damaged. I spoke to the client and began to rectify the issues. I found bulbs blown and one bulb just not inserted properly which i sorted out. I then tested the circuit with the broken socket outlets and damaged back boxes on which passed, so I renewed the damaged goods, tested and all issues resolved. My client was very pleased with the work and the cost for it, and she told me she had paid considerably more for less work previously.

My services start from changing a light bulb to a complete rewire.
I have been told I am punctual as well as courteous and not overpriced.
