  • Assembly of Garden Building (Forest Garden Xtend 2.5+)

Just be very wary of this one.

From my recent experience using them, they like to take on jobs which are bigger than there expertise. I purchased a garden gym pod and these guys claimed that they could put it up in the same time as the manufacturer.

We agreeded on a day and half for the job, but it ended up taking them 3.5 days to put up and not correctly even though they are trying to invoice the full amount for there poor workmanship.

My review is to avoid, as my pod have water ingression from the roof been poorly fixed, they have a lack of time management, they leave food waste and cigarette buds hidden In your garden, inviting rodent.

Look at the picture, enough reason to use someone else.

    Mckeevers building and joinery's reply:

OK so... You don't have to be wary and I have successfully completed projects far greater than this one.

The initial estimate, by myself, was a minimum of 2 days. After a phone call with the customer I explained that it was impossible to do in 6 hours that they believed it could be done by DIYers. So we agreed a day rate as this would be the cheapest option.
My claim was that we would be cheaper than the manufacturers guidelines... And we was... On average around £1200 cheaper from the prices we obtained from leading building suppliers.
We worked very hard on this project and followed the assembly instructions to the nearest screw as not to void the 15 warranty. Which is why I cant see how the roof would leak in the condition we left it in. We would be more than happy to come and look to resolve this problem.
But we still haven't received payment! As we left "litter" on site.

As for the "litter" I can only apologise as my colleague had put his left over dinner wrappers and cigarette butts in a bag which got mixed in with the "site waste".
We priced, labour only and any packaging, off cuts, pallets, site waste etc was to be removed by the customer.
My time on the build was dependent on when someone was there to open up and give us power.

I have been very professional, polite and patient, before, throughout the build and after. All messages have been saved and I am more than happy to show anybody who would like to see.
    Thanks
    Pete

  • Patching needed for some internal exposed chimneys

I was really pleased that I managed to get Pete on a job to repatch my internal chimneys. They look great. He is really easy to do business with, relatable, trustworthy and the work is of an excellent standard.
