    Mark was considerate and proficient. Due to a circumstance outside of Mark’s control, the work couldn’t be completed in one visit. The job was then completed slightly later than hoped, but to a great standard that we’re very happy with.

    Thanks for fixing my shower. It turned out repair involves cheaper solution and there was no need to break any tiles which I am glad of. Apart from that temperature regulator in the shower was replaced and that involved another visit. All was done on time and with the quote agreed earlier. Will ask for help in future.

    Didn’t turn up to first arrangement. After chasing, he didn’t turn up to second arrangement. Turned up on third but I had to chase again.

    Fitted outdoor tap with speed fit pipe down an external wall and left it with no lagging or uv protection. When I questioned about it he said he didn’t have any on the van.

    The external pipe is wonky by 13mm. I texted him photos of this with a ruler and he said I won’t notice once I put lagging on.

    He fitted the pipe in the attic on top of the joists, so now I can’t put my floor boards back down.

    I’ve messaging him he lied saying he fitted the attic pipe next to the other pipes. When I sent him photos to evidence that he didn’t he never replied again, never offered to fix the job or give me a refund.

    Now I’m left with what looks like a DIY botch job and I’ve got to pay for someone else to fix and finish the job.

    Mark gave me an estimate for the job by viewing the photos I had uploaded and came out the very next day to fix the leak. The job was more complicated than he (or I) had imagined as there were a couple of leaks from different points in the system. However, Mark stuck to the initial estimate and did not charge more than he had quoted earlier, even though the job turned out to be more complicated.     Where do I even start. Firstly he came to my house to see the job and then later in the day gave me a price. Start working the next day and later in the day said I need more money to finish the job or I’ll leave the job. Foolishly I gave him the money. Constantly swearing and shouting whilst working. Once he said he finished which he didn’t he kept asking me for money. As he kept asking for money I gave him it. He then went onto say the toilet he had fitted is leaking and that was not his job. I later called another plumber who informed me that whoever fitted it did a completely wrong job. He started blaming the toilet was broken when it wasn’t. He then left my house whilst I was asking when he can come back to fix the toilet. He never came. He did me dirty not just once for asking more money for the job he had already quoted but also waited for me to pay him to tell me there was a leak in the toilet and “it wasn’t his job”. Never have I experienced such bad tradesman or a very untrustworthy one. I have got done my whole house and only he has been this bad. Even if I was broke and I needed work doing And he offered it for free I wouldn’t call him out. It is very important that you people take note of my comment and stay away from this person. He did all the fixing in my bathroom. All which will need doing again and I’m £400 down.

    I now know never to accept a half finished job via this format. I was asked to finish a bathroom as the plumber had a death in the family and wasn't able to carry on. Ok I thought, but the customers attitude, led me to think he had just walked off the job. He made me want to do the same. But I had done the work and wanted payment for the job.
    The customer, who was always there left before I was about to Finnish and then phoned saying just email me an invoice.
    I happily take bank transfers day in day out for jobs after completed,
    But this guy was untruthful. I felt he wouldn’t pay. So on the phone told him “the jobs done now . Can you come pay for the work, I will wait) he paid me in full, but the above comments are just some bitterness against paying! For a job well done.

    Appointed him to do the work and he didn’t show up at the agreed date and time! He was supposed to arrive at 12pm and when there was no sight of him I called him at 12:10pm. He told me that he had issues with his van and was hoping to get it returned to him by now so he could do the job.

    I found this completely unacceptable and unprofessional, as if he had issues with his van he could have informed me PRIOR to the appointment, rather than me having to contact him.

    Mark did a great day for us - Not only did he do what I asked in changing the taps and general tidy up of the old grout etc, but he also came up with an ingenious fix for a problematic window sill we have had for 2 years which many other contractors failed to fix - He has now stopped all leaks and made it look 1000% better, like it was when it was brand new - I would have no hesitations in recommending Mark, he is prompt, fairly priced and very very good at what he does.

Swore a lot incorrectly installed shower- inverted hot and cold water. installed water filter on show rather than hidden as req. Quoted £270 to £290 charged £330. Mess still nearly 5 wks after incompetent & incomplete install. Had to show plumber youtube video of how to install filter. Left a loose floorboard. Damage to ceiling & walls & light by not supporting pipe joints adequately causing leak. very scruffy and work was overall very sloppy. devoid of empathy to my partner who has now had to attend hospital for episodes of asthma on several occasions caused by gaping hole in ceiling left by plumber and excess dust. He broke edge of bath panel which now hangs loose. Will not manage repairs in a timely manner, was dismissively rude when we questioned him he continued to drill while talking to us and put the phone down when we have been trying to organise in a professional manner. We were forced to approach ins company directly he gave false information and lied about degree of remediation work required.
    All in all I would suggest to anyone that if they are looking for a professional to do a plumbing job they definitely do not use this person. I have had to report to mybuilder.com and trading standards.

    I hired Mark on the basis of his cheap quote which didn’t work out to be all that cheap.

    Mark said that a site visit wasn’t required even though I wasn’t able to give specifics. He said that it will be straight forward take out replace and move sink and he had the tools and materials with him and will be at trade price if any are needed.

    The work as it happens turned out to be more than expected and Mark worked through until 7pm with two trips to local plumbing shops to purchase expensive materials!

    Mark had a private function the next day and wasn’t sure if he was able to get the job complete and that he may need to come back in a couple of days. My partner therefore worked alongside Mark (All day!) ensuring that the job was complete and left so we were able to use facilities.

    On my return after work had been complete the sink was not fitted to the wall and hung lose and the toilet did not work, (this was due to a manufacturers fault?) the side bath panel was not fitted also and the bath was uneven on the floor. The copper pipes fitted were perfect, though there is a constant leak in the u-bend on sink, which we have rectified ourselves now.

    I feel that the job was rushed and a contingency plan / action was not taken in to consideration.

    My partner insisted on me leaving positive feedback as it was a difficult job made as good as possible, that he was polite and gave good advice, but I am leaving neutral due to the above. I was rather disappointed.

    A site visit is MUST and I will be adamant in all future works needed to our property that site visit is carried out before hand and a proper quote is in place.

    I have waited over a week to write this as I was honestly not sure what to write. After some deliberation however i decided to just stick to the facts.

    The Good:
    The price - Marks price was very good and only rose a little after a few complications (see later)
    The Work - Was completed on the day and works
    Timekeeping - Mark arrived on time
    Overall - Mark is a polite chatty guy who very kindly showed me what the various parts of my CH and water system did (I'm a first time buyer). He arrived when he said he would and completed the work that I needed doing for near enough the price quoted.

    The bad:
    Preperation - Mark accepted the job without seeing it in person (only in photos I supplied after he said it was fine to not see it beforehand). As a result Mark arrived with no timber to construct a new base for my 50gal tank (replacing 25gal) and so spent a good hour trying to find a timber yard in the area and then going there and back. Even then he used a piece of ply that was already in my loft to make the base instead of supplying a new one.
    Workmanship - To create a new base for my CH expansion tank Mark nailed several peices of timber using oversized nails into the joists instead of using screws. As a result the ceiling in the room below in the corner where the joists are has had lumps of plaster fall out which I need to fix. This wouldn't have happened if he had used screws and would probably have saved him a fair bit of time! In addition Mark left the loft insulation under my new 50gal tank which is contrary to just about every opinion and instruction I can find anywhere.

    Time - Mark arrived at around 9 and didnt leave till nearly 3:30. I cant help thinking that 6 hours is a little long to install a new tank and move another.

    After the install - After Mark had refilled my CH system I tried to get the boiler to fire up to make sure that I still had some heating. The boiler would turn on and the fan would spin but no flame would appear. Mark told me that he wouldnt leave me without hot water. After 30 minutes of looking at the manual and trying Mark handed me his invoice, got paid and left with some of his final words being "you'll have to get the guy in who moved it to have a look" (the boiler had been moved 2 days previously but was working before Mark arrived).

    After just 30 minutes I had my CH working again, it turned out that there was lots of air in the system around the pump and flow sensors which is why the boiler wouldnt fire, once bled everything worked perfectly. I worked this out on my own despite having only the very basic knowledge of my system while Mark didn't think of it and is a fully qualified plumber!

    Finally - In all honesty Mark is a nice guy who can be very helpful, but I wouldn't hire him again.

    Mark was incredibly helpful, courteous and was able to fit me in on the day I called. His initial quote was very reasonable and even though the cause of the problem with my boiler was not clear (and I suspect it took longer than expected to fix), Mark did not expect payment beyond his quote.

    Mark came out super quick. Took longer than he had expected. His reason was that the radiators took a long time to drain - about 1 1/2hrs. He did fit the rads in 1 day but finished well into the evening. When he switched on all the rads, the one in the kitchen (not one of the new ones he had fitted) wouldn't turn on. We were abit concerned, but to be fair, he came out the next morning. Although he wasn't convinced the non-working rad was related to his fitting of the new ones, he did manage to fix the problem. At first, it didn't seem to hot up to the same temp as before. However, we have lived with it for a couple of weeks and it seems fine now.

    I would have him back again as he did everything he could to fix the problem asap. He was also a very pleasent guy to deal with and seemed to know what he was talking about without being patronising!

    Although Mark just quoted me to unblock my drain he spent all afternoon on the problem and really got stuck in to sorting it out. Mark was able to come the next day after I'd posted the ad and was very prompt. He kept me informed trhoughout and let me know what my options were. He really knew his stuff and completely committed to solving what turned out to be a very difficult drain to clear.

    He returned the next day to finish off the job.

    I would definitely use Mark again and was very grateful to find someone who wanted to sort the problem out as much as I did. Thanks Mark.
