Hi, I'm looking to redesign the bathroom.

Hi, I'm trying to figure out how to get a bit more space in my kitchen and wondered whether moving the doorway to the cellar was feasible.
The kitchen currently has 3 doors, to the dining room, yard and cellar, which eat up space. The cellar stairs are a straight flight of stone steps with no access underneath. I wondered if it would be possible to retrofit a turn in the staircase so that the doorway could move 90 degrees?
This would allow the staircase to exit from the side of the flight rather than from directly in front and so take the exit out of the kitchen space.
Is this even possible?
Hi, this is probably common knowledge, but when you're removing plaster from walls what do you do about the electrical cables that may be running under the plaster? Should these be identified and chipped out before the rest of the plaster is removed, or not? And would it make a diffenece if I was using a hammer and chisel, or an SDS drill with a chisel adaptation?
@ABM- It's for prep for damp proofing the house rather than fixing any electrics.
Hi, I'm just wondering where I stand with this. I'm buying a house at the moment which when both a builder and a surveyor looked around seems to have some deflection in the rear extension roof. The vendors apparently knew about this problem and had some roofers in to fix it in February. If the roof has already deflected again does this mean the last roofers did a bad job? Or could this just be a problem that we will always have with this roof? As far as I know the vendors still have the paperwork from the company that did the job in February, but would I be able to go back to them to ask them to fix it, if it is their fault, or would the current owners have to do that? And more would they be likely to redo the roof 6 months later, or am I best just to get a new contractor in?
