Really happy with Mark's work. Was prompt and arrived at the time agreed. Got on with the job (removing an old 3.5m tree trunk) without fuss. Listened to our request to cut the bottom of the trunk as flush as possible with the decking (decking had been done around the tree) and did a fantastic job at that with an almost perfect flush cut. Cleared away the wood and left the area neat.

I posted my job ad yesterday and Mark looked at the photos, showed interest and included a very reasonable quote. I had 3 other quotes of which 2 were quite frankly “people trying it on”. What stood out was his 139 feedbacks all positive! And his tree surgeon experience since 2002! He came next morning and whoa! Completed the job in less than 2 hours in the hot sun and that included clean up! I was amazed! I offered him water but he said he had brought his own! He was super polite, professional and is an extremely skilled and experienced tree surgeon whose quote was the lowest I got. When they say don’t go for the cheapest, well not only was he the cheapest but in my opinion the best tree surgeon we have ever had! He knew precisely how to cut the bent silver birch that would have fallen onto the other side of the fence but his skill shone through. I watched in amazement at his skill like watching television and seeing an instructor show you how it should be done. I never thought a skinny birch could be climbed but he did! He even took the tree down to the ground level. It does not even look like a tree was ever there! He went above and beyond. I now know why he has 139 positive feedbacks with a rating of 100%. Now he has 140. He is going to be overbooked as he is that good and so incredibly honest with his very reasonable quotes. Wise home owners do your research and do not pay the most expensive quote as they may not be good but trying it on! I gave Mark a well deserved tip.

Seemed to of done a good job cutting down half a tree and some of its trunk (from behind our shed in a unowned passage) as the tree was massive however where we told him to put the branches and the trunk in our garden we found a bird's nest wrapped in a plant that's look similar to a money plant, in this case grateful didn't find any birds/eggs harmed or dead however constructive critism would be to check what is being cut before cutting. Overal not a bad job done and was a nice chap.

Initially Mark came to assess the work and advise me what was the best way forward. Once agreed he gave me a quote for the work to be done.
Mark arrived on the day at the time he said and worked throughout the day until the job was completed. This was not an easy job because the branches of the my neighbour's tree spanned over three bungalows and a conservatory. To make things worse the inclement weather did not help. The branches to be cleared away were in my enclosed garden therefore they had to cut up and taken through my property. Mark was very careful to make as little mess as possible and cleared all the branches away. The price remained as quoted which I was more than happy to pay. Mark phoned to say he was in my area and arrived about 10 mins later. He completed the cutting back and pruning in a very difficult situation, very small garden , tricky access but he managed, did the job and removed all the debris.
I'm very happy with the outcome.
