    Unfortunately on this occasion I had to hire another locksmith to replace the lock on my door due to the quote of £295.00 from Steve after initially hiring him.
    He did remove and take away the lock and other parts to try and find an identical match but informed me that he was unable to find one as it it been discontinued and the one piece lock came in at nearly £300 which I felt was just far too much to pay.
    I did ask for a breakdown of the costs but was told that the price is to supply and fit and that I hadn't been charged for the loan of the overnight lock to make my door secure, which I found would have been a strange thing to be charged for, considering my lock had been taken away, neither had I been charged for the 4 new keeps or for him to visit my home for quotation purposes.
    My door now repaired for £160.00

He agreed the price with me over the phone and when he came he increased the price by £65 and when I asked why he said “you don’t have it in writing from me when we talked on the phone” when I asked is the job different from when I told you on the phone he said “no”

    I place customers satisfaction as my highest priority, so it is with great regret that i see this customer was not happy with the service provided.
    I welcome all feedback, both to know what i am doing right and also to identify areas where i can improve, although i am struggling to think what i could have done differently on this occasion.
    The customer rang & reported a lock was difficult to open, i suggested that a replacement cylinder might resolve the problem and gave him an estimated £75 to supply and fit. Upon attending and carrying out a full diagnostic examination it revealed that the cylinder was fine and that the MPL main gearbox had failed and needed replacing. This carries a cost of £165 as i had traveled to the property, & had a replacement gearbox in my van i agreed a discount to £150 to help him out as much as i could.
    Gearbox was fitted, invoice raised the customer then refused this already discounted price and not pay my invoice.
    I still regret not being able to help this customer out, and i sincerely hope he managed to find somebody suitable to rectify the fault in the end.
    Please do not let this one review deter you from maki the right choice and selecting me for your job.
