    Lee was in touch immediately and his communication was excellent. There were 3 jobs to be done and he arranged to come a few days later to start the work, coming back a few days after to finish it. Unfortunately he was unable to complete the final job as the water could not be turned off. This needed to be done outside but unfortunately Lee was unable to return due to other work commitments. He did let us know and we were able to hire someone else to complete. Very happy with the work that was done.

    Lee initially came to fix a leaking pipe and replace a kitchen tap, he completed this work but i noticed the leak had returned and called him. He returned to my house within 30mins and identified that the water was seeping from the wall, he carried out further work to try and identify and resolve the issue and after at least 90mins found that it appeared to be a blocked drain. Lee issued advice on what steps I should take next to resolve this matter. Given all the extra time and work he took to resolve the issue he only took the initially quoted price.
    As far as my experience goes I would highly recommend Lee for anyone who requires a plumber .

    My boiler started making funny banging sounds. from the fear of loosing hot water and heating with a home full of babies I posted on this site and got few boiler repair guys message me. I went with Lee because he messaged me and was very clear that he would come out same day and the exact amount he will charge if no parts were required.     Lee came to fix a leaking radiator but couldnā€™t sort the problem so agreed to come back later. He came back the following week but still couldnā€™t fix the problem, so he said he would get in contact with me about a new radiator. I messaged lee a few days later but itā€™s been almost 2 weeks now and heā€™s not even replied. No updates on whatā€™s going on heā€™s just left me with a radiator that isnā€™t working.

    Hello Graham

    I initially came the first time to repair the leaking radiator valve.
    After that was done it turned out the radiator itself was also leaking from behind.
    I came back out for free and capped the leaking radiator. This resolved the leak and stopped your heating and hot water from cutting out and any further damage to your ceeling which was the job posted and what I was hired to do on an emergency basis.
    I informed you that you would need a new radiator if you wanted heat back in this room and that would be a separate job that could be agreed on.
    If you could give me a call or drop me a message we can arrange to have a new radiator ordered up and fitted but again this will be a separate job to the one posted here.

    The job was done to satisfaction, but Lee arrived late in the evening without warning, bothering the tenants, and he was quite rude when asking for his money (which we paid in less than 2 days after receiving the invoice!). I won't request his service again, it's too unpleasant.

    Good afternoon Caroline

    The job was completed at the agreed date and time and done to our usual high standard as you stated. We went above and beyond to get this job done for your tennant working late at no additional charge to suit them.

    Even though there was a breakdown in communication as a landlord is a third party we pushed on to get this done for you.
    We have updated our payment terms for landlords in future that payments will be made up front as we have been stung several times this year each by independent landlords.

    If you could understand from our point of view when we are communicating then it suddenly stops after we have completed the job we must request payment unless alternative payment terms have been agreed.

    The way we simplify this is you do not do a weekly shop then tell the cashier I will pay you in a month.

    We have a duty to protect ourselves and other tradesmen from rogue landlords and unfortunately by leaving an unjust bad review you will most likely be blacklisted for future works from all tradesmen.

    As great a service as mybuilder is we are going to request a setting to state whether you are a landlord or homeowner so we can protect ourselves from non payments.

    In the end after several attempts payment was made but we will mutually agree that we will not be carrying any more work out for you in the future.

    I have to say I am disappointed with the service we got. I Was getting a replacement show for my 91-year-old mother and Lee came out and fitted a new shower but cause of water pressure he left as said he had other jobs to do. Would look at his diary and come back and add the additional pipe so that the pressure would be sorted. Took the old show away which because of the water pressure was still working. I tried calling Texting and leaving him messages on here. He was paid for the work he done but we still do not have a working product and my mother does not have a shower to use with her carers. I would avoid I trusted the reviews he got with good communication etc went out his way. But took our Money and Old Working Shower and never returned a Call / Message or Text ā€¦. I would avoid as we are having to get another plumber now to fix this.

    If you could go back and check your messages you will see the date we have given to come back and do the additional work as it looks like you have missed this.
    The job you posted was to replace the shower which was done on the arranged date/time to our usual high standard.
    On completion we noticed that the cause of your old shower not working was due to being fitted to a system with poor water pressure.
    This is something only picked up when fault finding which we done free of charge at the end of the job and suggested a solution.
    Unfortunately I strictly cannot cancel other customers appointments to resolve your mistake but can book you in at the date given via messages if you could check them and get back to me ASAP as our diary fills up extremely quickly with customers and I realise this is quite urgent for yourself.
    You asked us to remove the old broken shower and dispose of it to keep your bins empty which we done again free of charge however I still have it ready to be skipped but you are welcome to it if youā€™d like it back however the elements are damaged due to you forcing it to operate under low pressure Rendering it useless.
    We were off work for 2 days but back now so hopefully we can get this resolved for you and if you have any questions you can drop me a message or call me.

    As per our previous contact this was agreed that there has been damage to the flush pipe caused by your tennant.

    We do offer a warranty with all jobs and although yours had run out and was damaged by your tennant we could have attended to sort this for you as a gesture of goodwill.
    Unfortunately as you had another plumber or handyman attempt to fix this and fail we chose not to take on the job as we believe poor workmanship should be repaired by the person who provided it.

    Lee arrived exactly on time despite living about 40 miles away. He gave us a diagnostic of the old showers' probable malfunction on the phone and said he would replace it with a brand new unit for a fair price (lowest price of all the quotes we got). When doing the job there was also an issue where he had to use extra cable due to the old unit's short wire, but at no extra charge. He tidied up the debris and removed the old unit and used silicone sealant to tidy off the old mounting holes. He maintained social distancing and was very pleasant and professional. He also gave a demonstration of the new showers controls. Overall excellent.

    For months ive been having a problem with banging pipes at random times of the day and night. Ultimately I thought that the issue was with the main stopcock to the house and asked LM Plumbing to replace it for me.

    Lee turned up on time but could not access the main street water access point due to debris. He arranged to contact Scottish Water to remove the debris. He then arranged a new date for the work to be done.

    Lee answered all my questions promptly, and informed me of when he was arriving so I could let the neighbours know the water main was going to be turned off for a short while.

    The stopcock was promptly replaced along with some work in the bathroom. And he notified the neighbours when the water was turned back on and tidied up everything before he left.

    Since the work was done, there has been no noise coming from the pipes, the water tastes fresher, and in addition it also solved the noise when the taps were turned off and on. Couldnt be happier.

    This is my experience of Lee, disappointingly. Lee visited on Thursday to fix the leaking pipe. It merely needed to be tightened. He unbelievably charged Ā£60 for a 10-second tightening of the elbow joint with a hand wrench.

    He was coming back the next day to replace a hot water gate valve (he sought a separate additional fee), however he turned up (God only knows why?) and then said he couldn't do the job as he was going away for the weekend. It seemed he either never had the experience, or he didn't know what valve to turn to drain the water tank in the loft when he had a quick look.

    I was then let in a very precarious situation, because the elbow joint that he tightened blew the copper water pipe right out of its joint two days later, as it started leaking again.

    He was supposed to also change all pipework in the barn that second day he visited (Friday) to plastic.

    My time was completely wasted by Lee, staying home both Thursday and Friday just for him.

    I am a woman who is not in any trades profession of any kind, however I actually fixed the elbow joint myself afterwards, by wrapping PTFE tape around the olive. - That's something that Lee couldn't be bothered to do, or simply he never knew to do.

    Lee, I'm sorry. Honestly, you seemed like a nice enough person, but in terms of customer service, reliability and honesty, I can not recommend you. I would say to others go for someone who is honest (doesn't dishonestly skin you for a 10-sec job) & reliable.

    We had agreed a price before i left to attend the job (She could have refused the price before i attended) through dangerous driving conditions (-12 degrees/snow covered farm roads). Mary was happy the leak was resolved. As for the joint blowing off this was on a different pipe that i hadn't worked on which i have pictures to prove as the job was posted separately on mybuilder.
    The second day i was asked to provide a quote for work unrelated to mybuilder and also to resolve her hot water pressure issue which i done completely FREE OF CHARGE. As the days went on she kept asking for money to be knocked off the final price i ended up knocking a large sum off and generously offering to use spare materials to further lower the price. It wasn't good enough for her and i had to politely refuse the job as i'd be losing money. She also demanded i drop whatever other work i had on and attend her job when she said. This is where i think she has found the urge to leave bad feedback and tell complete LIES because she never got the price she was looking for and i refused to cancel other prebooked appointments with other customers for her to make her first in line.
    As i always strive to give 110% in every job being honest, reliable, competitively priced and delivering the highest standard of work as you can see by my other reviews i have learned a valuable lesson that sometimes you may have one bad customer for every 30 great customers and in this case this was that one.
