I started plastering 23yrs ago.I went to college for 3years, learning all the different aspects of the trade.Im a family man with 3 kids.Im very clean and tidy in my work. Im friendly,polite,trustworthy and honest.Hard working, good time keeping with good communication skill
About just ceilings
My work history started in 1988 attending college for 3yrs.Completing my apprenticeship.Staying with the company for a further 3yrs learning more skills.
Since then Ive worked for a number of small builders doing their plastering services.Also working for insurance companies and as a soletrader.
City and Guilds in plastering. 1989. ref: 9J029933.
City and Guilds Advanced in plastering. 1990. ref:0J017401. My skills include all aspects of plastering.
Ranging from Plastering on to plasterboard, over new and old brickwork and rescimming of walls and ceilings.
The application of plasterboarding to walls and ceilings. Including dot and dabbing, metal and stud work, insulating and celotexing.
Rendering and damproofing externally and internally.
Coving and Cornice work.
Repair old cornice work or mouldings. Make new cornice to match exsisting.
Tiling and Screeding.
I have the skill and knowledge to overcome plastering problems.

- I have a painted Artex ceiling which is putting up too much of a fight to consider stripping in the timeframe i have. Would it be better to get it skimmed or foam backed plasterboard over? 4
- I HAD RISING DAMP ON INTERIOR WALL, GOT A DAMP COURSE DONE, IVE TOKE OF THE PLASTER WHATS THE BEST THING TO PLASTER 3
- Should damp laths be allowed to dry out before covering with plasterboard then plaster? Also, should all old palster be removed to expose extent of water ingress? Or just expect it will dry out?
